Who Am I?
My name is Korala Cyril Samuel and I am a student in all sense currently pursuing a computer applications degree. I am an avid movie lover and reader. It is apt to name me as a total nerd. Beyond that I love long trips and is a foodie although I look very thin for that to be true. Anyways I dream of working for my country probably in the technical field. Writing has always been passion, one which hasn't seen the light of day. Someday, maybe.
Why This Blog?
Because it's been a dream. It is also a dream of mine to write about films aptly. Because we see a number of self proclaimed film critics and fanatics who writes really bad or doesn't know anything about what they are doing. I am not haling myself as someone who knows stuff. But as I said, I'm a student in all sense.
It is important to understand art because I believe it is a mirror of our society and a harsh critic too. Understanding art helps us to become a better person and understand the world around us. This blog is a way of mine to connect with similar minded people and hone my skills for a better future.
This blog is an answer to a question by Bharadwraj Rangan (someone I really admire) about the missing of material on South Indian Cinema in English language. I primarily tend to focus my writings on South Indian Cinema in different series, new film reviews, my insights on different aspects of society and arts. A few material on international cinema too. Hope this to be a successful endeavor sharing my knowledge with others and to learn myself from it.
